Lateral palps with uneven appearance. Large bump on rounded side. Size 21.8 mm x 25.8mm

This curious Toxodentid appears to be a close match to Palpatophora utiliformis grandis, but the discerning microsyntherologist will notice some unusual features that separate it from most other Palpatophors. First and foremost is the slightly warped and uneven appearance to the integument . Secondly, this species invariably features a large protuberance on its more rounded side. These curious features call to mind The mysterious Mycognathid Lanciprendo rectangulus. Specimens of P. chilensis was first found in 2020 on a bag of apples imported from Chile. it has since been found across North America. Species described by occlupanologist A. Welby (FORC).
