Lateral palps. Size 21.8 mm x 24.7 mm
All specimens found on bags of English muffins. First discovered in 2022 in a Montana Dollar Tree by field researcher O. Hart, who observed that all specimens of A. phaseolus showed notable distress on their lateral palps, resulting in incredibly sharp edges. This is a possible adaptation for defense, so collectors are advised to wear adequate protection when handling. At present only unmarked white specimens have been observed. Species described by occlupanologist E. Welby, who observed that A. phaseolus in New Hampshire may be outcompeting Q. ilex populations in this niche.
