External morphology

Smooth and  rectangular. Size 21 mm X 22 mm.

The sole specimen thus far observed was found in a mixed species occlupanid colony in Calabasas, CA. The external morphology of B. quies is nearly identical to Stylodentis ubiquitous, however B. quies’ oral groove and dential process are much shorter, similar to Toroidopanis substrictus. One researcher has postulated that B. quies is a transitional species between S. ubiquitous and T. substrictus. We feel there is too little data available to evaluate this hypothesis at this time. Discovered and described by occlupanologist C. Huning of DWORC.
