- External morphology
Small shallow depression on aboral edge. Chisel-like lateral palps. Size 21.5 mm x 23.5 mm.
discovered on the ground by occlupanologist M. Kerkhof in the Dutch city of Vianen. Nothing is known of its host entity. It is clearly a close mimic of the Tridentid Admordorsum floridensis. Like many occlupanopsids, prolonged exposure to the elements seem to have a deleterious effect on their integument, as this specimen is slightly torn, revealing a complicated lamellae of paper fibers within. Scholars should employ protective measures when collecting such fragile occlupanid-facsimiles in the field; avoid gusts of air, dousings of water, bursts of flame, or clods of dirt.
