Kenodontidae

Originally placed under the Corrugatidae, these mysterious and possibly archaic occlupanids are now considered to be a taxonomic family in their own right.  While there is a small amount of host data known, there is much that is undiscovered about their distribution and habits, due to a paucity of specimens. It is hoped that the globe-spanning community of indefatigable occlupanid researchers can persuade these reticent relics to give up their secrets.  Kenodontids are identified by two wavy indentations in a constricted oral groove, separated laterally by a linear gap.
