This species is famed in Japan for its resemblance, when folded laterally, to that of a domestic cat. Named in honor of S.J. Wang, one of the first artists to employ this technique. Collected in Kyoto by amateur occlupanologist J. Vinopal, from bags of sliced bread. To date, D. wangi has only been found in Japan.
