One or more widened lateral sides. Size 21.7 mm x ~23.8 mm.
This well-traveled and mischievous occlupanid was discovered by field researcher F. Northcutt of Austin TX, who was quite surprised to suddenly find one perched on the center console of an automobile. With no obvious means of arrival and no clear host entity, this occlupanid remained a mystery until a second specimen was brought to HORG by A. Welby (FORC), who found it on La Boulangerie bag of croissant-bread. Though it has since been sighted on many other bread products, its attraction to automobiles may indicate a fondness for roadside environs. Note: Genus Exomiphora exhibits great variability in the wide lateral protusions; some specimens have both sides extended, while others are asymmetrical.
